The St. Paul Pioneer Press has released their All State team. At the top of the list--Ashley Wittman of Shakopee.

The West Central Tribune has released their All Area Team.
ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
Brittany Chambers of Jordan is Athlete of the week for KARE 11.
Leah Dietel of Jordan, Katherine Harms of St. Michael-Albertville, and Ashley Wittman all made the StarTribune's Athletes of the week list.

1st Annual College Recruiting Combine
Sunday, December 7th, 8:00 am
Northern Lights Junior Volleyball is proud to introduce the 1st Annual Northern Lights Recruiting Combine for High School volleyball players!
This event will give any Junior age volleyball athlete (grades 10 – 12) the opportunity to display their physical and volleyball skills to recruiters from various colleges and universities.
All players interested in playing collegiate level volleyball are encouraged to attend! All players are welcome regardless of their High School or Club affiliation.
High School coaches, this is a great way for your top players to be seen by many colleges. Please let your players know about this.

BIG 10 NETWORK
Minnesota will be on the Big 10 Network four times this fall.
Purdue also will be on the cable station four times.
GLOBAL CHALLENGE
The BIP/USA team is 2-1 in the Global Challenge in Pula, Croatia.

COACHING NEWS
Sauk Rapids is looking for a volleyball coach. Former coach Paul Meyer is now the head coach at Waldorf College in Iowa. From the St. Cloud Times.
Katie McGuine has been Director of Operations for Purdue. She was DO at Iowa the last two years. She also was the head coach at Pine Island. She is a grad of Rochester Lourdes and MSU Mankato.

The University of Cincinnati's 2008 volleyball recruiting class is ranked #15 in PrepVolleyball. Kelsey Brandl of Lakeville North is among those recruits.
HOME VISITS DOS AND DON'TS
I have come across College Volleyball Coach (anonymous) and the latest posting covers dos and don'ts on the home visit. The don't list includes things like take phone calls and going out with friends when the home visit is going on.
This is a good resource---look at the subject list on the right. The list includes advice to players, recruiting plans and other topics.
SCHEDULE
Iowa has released their 2008 schedule. The Hawkeyes are at Minnesota on Wednesday, October 15.
CONFERENCE NEWS
