High Standard????
#2 posting 5.15.2007
your daily dose of girls volleyball news & information
HIGH STANDARD????
Since when is a 2.0 considered a high standard? The StarTribune seems to think that it is too high a hurdle. Since I coach in the Minneapolis school district (volleyball) I am quite familiar with the rule. It has been around for quite some time. By the way my volleyball team has one the Academic Section award two of the last three years.
What District AD John Washington said is spot on---"If you show up and do the work you'll earn the grade."
Report on the attendance of these student athletes. Report on how many missing assignments they have. It has been my experience the fewer times you attend class, the fewer assignements you turn in, the worse your grade.
By the way there are appeal processes and 14/21 were approved.
Quit trying to lower standards. Kids are supposed to be going to class and doing the work.
High Standard???? what a joke.
