VOLLEYBALL AWARDS

San Diego's Laurel Abrahamson (Bloomington Jefferson) was named athlete of the week for the second straight week in the West Coast Conference.

UM Duluth took two of the three awards in the North Central Conference. Kari Wolford (Albany) was named offensive player and Lindsey Clairmont (Wayzata) was named defensive winner. It was Wolford's second honor this year. Breaking the Bulldog stranglehold on awards was Katie Agnew of UN Omaha.

In the Northern Sun, Emily Schroeder of Wayne State was named offensive player, Julie Vancura of MSU Moorhead (Anoka) was named setter for the second straight week, and Stephanie Nygaard of Northern State was named defensive player.
