D1 & D2 Polls Out, Tan Defensive Player

As you can see there is no out & about tonight. I didn't get done with practice early enough to get to the game I wanted to see. That plus the home front need some attention.

Be that as it may there are some news items:

D1
The Gophers inched up to #11 in the weekly poll. Other Big 10 teams include #3 Penn State; #9 Wisconsin and #16 Michigan.

Also in the Big 10 weekly awards, Christine Tan was named co-defensive player of the week. She shared the award with Arielle Wilson, of Penn State. Laura DeBruler, of Illinois was the offensive player of the week. Wilson and DeBruler are first year players.

UM Duluth maintained their #3 hold. Other area teams in the top 25 include #4 Concordia St. Paul up two spots; #8 SW MN State who fell four places; #10 Augustana up one space; #14 MSU Mankato up two. Those knocking on the door include UN Omaha,

HIGH SCHOOL RESULTS
Hutchinson won the Simley tournament over the weekend with wins over Turtle Lake, WI, St. Bernard's, Roseville and Simley. From the Hutchinson Leader.
