D2 AWARDS: NORTHERN SUN
Tricia Ingvalson of SW MN State has been called the biggest surprise this year in the Northern Sun. She made the first team all conference. She was one of five players, plus Coach Terry Culhane that need to clear room on their shelves for their awards.
Today SW MN State starts their post season tournament at home against Mary. From the Marshall Independent and the Bismarck Tribune.
This is the last year for the Northern Sun volleyball tournament. The Bismarck Tribune thinks that is a horrible idea.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Christy Stuewe of North Dakota State was named offensive player of the week for the third time this season.

HALL OF FAME
Former Ridgewater coach Val Swanson will be inducted into the NJCAA hall of fame on Nov. 14. From the West Central Tribune.
