GOPHERS 3-0 IN BIG 10
The Minnesota Gophers continued their sweeps of the Big 10 with another shut out at Iowa. Middle Jessy Jones had another strong performance with 12 kills and a hand in five blocks.

Former Marshall player and current UM Duluth player Sarah Wyffels had a strong homecoming on Tuesday when UMD swept SW MN State. From the Marshall Independent.
The Northern Sun named SW MN State's Erin Contons (Apple Valley), MSU Moorhead's Julie Vancura (Anoka) and Mary's Kendra Hobbs (Tartan) as athletes of the week.
Contons has won weekly honors 11 times in her career.

The MIAC named their athletes of the week which include St. Thomas' Katie McCaffery (Fort Collins, CO), and St. Benedict's Beth Hanson (Bethlehem Academy).
#25 Carleton beat Hamline in four.
St. Benedict swept St. Olaf. St. Olaf's Kim Smisek (Northfield) had 18 kills to lead both teams.
Oshkosh swept LaCrosse. Katelyn Carlson (Rochester Mayo) had 15 kills for LaCrosse.
Superior beat Stout in four. It was Superior's first win in conference. Jenna Swanson (Hayfield) had 13 kills for Stout. Courtney Stach (Bertha-Hewitt) had 11 kills for Stout.
#3 Whitewater triumphed Platteville in four. Rebekah Nelson reached the 1000 kill mark for Whitewater.
COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Anoka Ramsey beat Riverland in four.
Hibbing beat Rainy River in four.
Ridgewater finished the first half of the conference season undefeated as they swept MN West. From the West Central Tribune and Worthington Daily Globe.
