FRIDAY RESULTS
It was a rare Friday without the Friday Night Lights so volleyball was center stage at a variety of schools throughout the state.

ALBANY TOURNAMENT
Rocori went 4-0 to win the Albany Tournament yesterday. They defeated host Albany in the finals in two. Rocori did not lose a game on the day. From the St. Cloud Times (towards the end of the round up.

#2 Shakopee defeated #10 Eden Prairie in the marquee event of the night in four games. EP won the first game. From the Shakopee Valley News.

Mankato East swept GFW with their new 6-2 offense. GFW's Stephanie Kruggel had 12 kills to lead both teams. From the Mankato Free Press.

Kenyon-Wanamingo (Class A) topped Rochester JM in five and Lakeville South swept Rochester Century in the opener for all teams. From the Rochester Post Bulletin.

Redwood Valley swept Springfield last night. Naomi U’ren picked up her 1000 career assist for RV. From the West Central Tribune.

Fulda topped Worthington in a cross class match 3-2. Fulda took the first two and found enough in the tank to take game five. Fulda setter Sam Raddle picked up her 1000 career assist. From the Worthington Daily Globe.

Tracy-Milroy-Balaton swept Westbrook-Walnut Grove to open the season. From the Marshall Independent.

Hopkins coach Vicky Swenson is getting a new house courtesy Extreme Home Makeover. Swenson added three of her sisters children to her household. The family is in Disneyland while the makeover is going on. From the Stillwater Gazette.

High School coaches---I would recommend putting your stat information on MaxPreps. It is just one way to promote and create inteterst in volleyball. Have some one in your volleyball family get the job done. It makes it sooooo much better if all schools participate. By the way this is the only time Minneapolis Henry will lead in categories (since we are the only school up this morning). It also helps when I do the Number Crunching
