Mabel-Canton Wins #73, Hebert & Parkinson's

HS WRAP UPS
Fergus Falls, Wheaton, Ashby all posted sweeps last night. Article from the Fergus Falls Daily Journal.
Mabel-Canton picked up conference win 73 in a row, and Kasson-Mantorville went five games with Plainview-Elgin-Millville in Southeast MN action. Article from the Winona Daily News.
St. Charles swept Winona Cotter in somewhat of a surprise 11, 20, 20. From the Winona Daily News.
Blue Earth swept past Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial 27-25, 17, 22. The key game was #1. BE led 19-10, but LCWM came back strong. More in the Mankato Free Press.
Moorhead swept Perham 9, 15, 17. The Spuds return most of their team from last year. Story from the Fargo Forum.
Redwood Valley beat Lakeview in four, and Megan Groen of Renville County West unleased 15 kills in a win over Lincoln HI. Story from the West Central Tribune.
Pierz knocked off Little Falls in four. Pay no attention to the St. Cloud Times headline--it is backword. BBE also won yesterday.
Marshall got stronger as the match wore on against Alexandria in a 15, 11, 7 sweep.

All the #1 teams swept, AAA Chaska 10, 14, 10 with Prior Lake; and A Minneota 18, 20, 12 with Murray County Central. No word on AA Stewartville at Decorah Iowa.

COLLEGE REPORTS
UM Crookston spoiled Chadron State's home opener with a sweep 36-34, 33-31, and a more comfortable 30-20. UMC was down 25-22 in the first game, and trailed 26-23 in the second before making comeback wins. Here is more from the Crookston Times.

Winona State had a record crowd in it's home opener Tuesday night against Viterbo. And the crowd left happy as WSU swept Viterbo 27, 19, 12. Article from the Winona Daily News.

HEBERT & PARKINSON'S
Gopher coach Mike Hebert has had Parkinson's disease since 2004, but has recently made the news public.
