COACHING CHANGES
Here is a list of coaching changes in the metro area as told by the St. Paul Pioneer Press. Kennedy is getting a transfer too as well as a new coach (Kari Raymond) in player Brook Dieter from Bethany. As usual, the Lake conference has a plethora of teams near the top spot in the polls. #1 is Chaska but there are four others in the top 7. The same article details the rankings too.

WINONA COTTER
Here is how the season is shaping up for Winona Cotter. Jenny Gilbertson should be big in the middle. The Winona Daily News Article goes through all their fall teams.

DULUTH PICKED IN NCC
UM Duluth has been selected as favorites to win their third NCC title in a row according to conference coaches. If you want to read the NCC release, here it is.

LUCIA
Concordia St. Paul's Jessica Lucia (Wayzata HS) has a write up in the StarTribune. The preseason player of the year in the Northern Sun credits teammates and coaches for her success.

NOMINATING DEADLINES
For MN HS coaches the deadline for nominating your player for All State awards is September 15. Go to the MN Volleyball Coaches Association and look under Files & Documents.First you need to be a member of the MVBCA for your players to be considered for these awards.

For Academic awards you need to have the paperwork done by October 23.

The MVBCA is also looking for nominations for the Hall of Fame. To see who has been given the award check on the Coaches Awards at the MVBCA site.
