Wayzata Profile, Baufield to ETSU

WAYZATA TEAM PROFILED
Wayzata will be a senior-dominated team and will be led by Lauren Baufield, a 5’10” senior right-side hitter. Lauren is a team captain that recently verbally committed to Division 1 East Tennessee State University. She is a 2005 Classic Lake Conference All-Conference selection and played on MN Select 17-1.

As many as five additional seniors are also seeking to have impactful final high school seasons and make the transition to collegiate volleyball. These other seniors are setter and captain Holly Dale, libero Julie Droegemueller, middle hitter Meghan Ellis, outside hitter and 2005 Classic Lake Conference All-Conference selection Jessie Lasher, and outside hitter and captain Hannah Parks.

The team’s other middle hitter is 6’2” sophomore Tia Gaffen who has already gained interest from the likes of the University of Minnesota, USC, Wisconsin, and Georgia Tech.
