Fitzgerald to UM Crookston

SIGNING
Rebekah Fitzgerald, Faribault and Rochester CC, has signed with UM Crookston. She will also play basketball. Here is more from the Crookston Times.

COACHING NEWS
UM Crookston has hired Amanda Neubauer as assistant coach. The Admissions counselor arrived on campus in June. She played volleyball at Butler CC in Kansas. The last couple of years she was a grad assistant at North Dakota. Here is the Crookston Times with more details.

GOPHERS ON TV
The Minnesota Gophers will be on TV three times this season. The scheduled games are Oct 6 at Penn State; Home against Purdue on Oct 14; and home against Ohio State on Oct 27. These games will be on tape delay. Find out more in the MN press release.

HS PREVIEWS
Even though the HS season doesn't officially begin until Monday some papers are already running previews of their teams.

COURT PROCEEDINGS
Last December Winona State head volleyball coach Connie Mettille was severly injured in a car crash. Katelyn Carol Appelwick has pleaded not guilty to 10 charges. Read more in the Winona Daily News.
