GAME REPORTS
Rogers spent all 2005 regular season winless. They solved that problem last night with a 3-0 win over district rival Zimmerman. Erica Sudduth led Rogers with 8 kills. Story from the Elk River Star News.
Pierz, as has been reported before, beat Willmar 3-1. We read about it in the West Central Tribune, now it is the Brainerd Dispartch's turn.
Rushford-Peterson and Byron won yesterday and are featured in the Winona Daily News.

St. Paul Humboldt beat Minneapolis Patrick Henry 3-0 last night. Henry led throughout the first game except when it counted. Henry led 23-20 with Stephanie Zappa serving. Humboldt forced the side out, and Henry couldn't as Jevita Baheriy served four points, with 3 coming on Henry hitting errors. Humboldt didn't have too many problems in the second game at 25-14. Key point was an 11-2 diffenrential in the third rotation. Humboldt led 5-4 in the 3rd game and it never trailed again in a 25-18 win. Zappa had 7 aces for Henry.

As stated yesterday UM Duluth was 4-0 in Northern Michigan. They swept all opponents 3-0. Here is the UMD press release on the weekend action.
UM Crookston was 2-2 in the Kearney Tournament. The Crookston Times recaps the weekend games. Erin Flynn made the all tournament team.
Central Lakes finished 2nd in the DuPage tournament.They won 3 on Saturday, but lost to Vincennes, Indiana for their only loss. Jen Kempenich and Lisa Kurtz made the all tournament team. Article from the Brainerd Dispatch
MSCTC Fergus Falls finished with a 3-1 record good for 3rd in their tournament. Their only loss was to eventual champion Hibbing. Article from the Fergus Falls Daily Journal.
