Champs Crowned in 21 Sections

The section finals are now over and the field is set for the state tournament starting Thursday in the St. Paul Xcel Energy Center.

AAA
Sweeps were in order with four 3 & outs. The exception was the Blaine and Eagan games (the games I attended). Lakeville North and Eagan were the only non #1 teams to move on.

Lakeville North took revenge on Owatonna in a sweep. LN lost to Owatonna in a 2-1 game in LN's own tournament on October 7.

Marshall also swept past Hutchinson. I am sure the Marshall Independent will have the story tomorrow. They don't publish on Sunday.

Moorhead had a sweep over Rocori to move on to state. Moorhead won 8AAA last yearFrom the Fargo Forum.

Two lower seeds have punched their tickets to the state tournament: #2 LeSueur-Henderson and #3 Pipestone both advanced.
