North Central & WIAC Honors, D2 & D3 Brackets

MORE AWARDS/HONORS
I looked all morning for the Daktronics All North Central Region. Now I found it on the SW MN State site. Interesting that the Northern Sun had six of the seven spots on the first team. It was flip flopped with the North Central taking six of seven on the second team.

The WIAC named their all conference selections and Dana Alf, Platteville was named player of the year. Four Minnesota players were named to the first team:
Carly Freiborg, Renville Co West, Eau Claire
Andrea Geehan, St. Paul Como Park, River Falls
Kat Krtnick, Fridley, River Falls
Kate Thompson, Forest Lake, River Falls
Lindsey Mace, Hastings, River Falls was named to the defensive team.

TOURNAMENT BRACKETS
The NCAA D2 brackets are out. The North Central regionals are at Concordia St. Paul this weekend.

The NCAA D3 brackets are out and the Midwest regional will be at Eau Claire. Concordia Moorhead and St. Thomas advance from the MIAC. The WIAC sends Eau Claire, Whitewater, and Oshkosh.
