TOURNAMENTS X 2
Today I was out & about twice. Eastview and Apple Valley held their tournaments and they are only five minutes apart. I started at Eastview which wrapped up their tournaments first. I didn't get there until the middle of game one of the semis. I was able to chart the second game and the rest of the matches.

EASTVIEW
In the Semis it was Woodbury going to extra points twice over St. Michael-Albertville. The first game was even longer than collegiate contests 32-30. The second game also went to Woodbury 27-25. Woodbury led 22-15 late in game two, but STMA ran off 8 straight points to go ahead 23-22. Five straight side outs tied made it 25-25. Woodbury closed off with an overpass kill and an ace.

In the other semi it was Eden Prairie over Totino-Grace in three games, the last one 15-12.

In the fifth place game it was Stewartville over Forest Lake 27-25, 25-22. In game one FL was on the verge 24-20, but Stewartville had five straight points, the last three aces by Julie Rainey to go ahead 25-24.

In the championship Eden Prairie beat Woodbury 25-15, 25-13. In the second game EP had their side out game working with six straight first ball side outs to finish.

APPLE VALLEY
After that contest it was off to the west to watch the Apple Valley tournament.

In the third place game the hosts came back after losing the first game to Sioux Falls Lincoln 25-22 to win the next two 25-17, 15-8.

The Championship matched up the AA and A champs from last season Jordan vs Minneota. Jordan got off to a slow start 11-6 in game one when a time out got the fire started. Jordan won game one 25-21 (outscoring Minneota 19-10). The Jordan juggernaut continued in game two 25-11.

I will go through these games with stats and photos, but I will also be leaving for the Gopher vs Illinois game soon, so you might not see the photos or stats until later tomorrow.
