Penn State Hands Gophers 1st Big 10 Loss

BIG 10
The #11 Minnesota Gophers were swept by #3 Penn State on the road. It was the Gophers first loss in the Big 10.

Wisconsin swept Indiana. Game two went to extra points. Over 7000 fans were in Madison for this one.

Ohio State defeated Iowa 3-1.

North Dakota State topped Oakland 3-1. Kari Fagnan (Fridley) dug 30 balls, Chrissy Stuewe (Mayer Lutheran) notched 25 kills for NDSU.

It was a day of heartbreakers for teams south of the border
Northern Iowa lost to Illinois State in five. Champlin Park's Amy Sampson had 16 kills for UNI.

Iowa State lost to Oklahoma in five. Hills-Beaver Creek's Erin Boeve had 25 kills for the Cyclones.

#21 Ohio swept Eastern Michigan. Centennial's Amanda Andersen had one kill for Ohio.

San Diego survived St. Mary's in five. Bloomington Jefferson's Laurel Abrahamson had 15 kills for the Toreros.
