NORTHERN SUN ALL CONFERENCE
The Northern Sun released their all conference list today plus their end of the year honors.
Erin Contons, SW MN State was offensive player of the year.
Mary Slinger, Concordia St. Paul picked up the Libero of the year
Emily Palkert, Concordia St. Paul won the freshman of the year honor
and Terry Culhane, SW MN State was coach of the year.
On the All conference list.
The top team, Concordia St. Paul had five players make the first team, runner up SW MN State provided three to the first team, five counting honorable mentions. MSU Moorhead had three total, the only other school to garner more than two.

There were 7 middles and 7 outsides. There were also four setters and four liberos.
the average height of the middles was 5-11.1 smaller than the MIAC middles of 6-0
the average height of the outsides was 5-9.4, again smaller than the MIAC's of 5-11.3
the average height of the setters was 5-8.8, slightly bigger than the MIAC at 5-8.3
the average height of the libero was 5-7.5, bigger than the one libero in the MIAC at 5-6

Apple Valley and LeSueur-Henderson each had two all conference players. The top conference was the Lake, Minnesota River, and NW Suburban with two each.

There were 6 AAA players from MN, 4 AA, and 3 A. Others states provided 8 and one country had one make the list. Nebraska, Iowa, and Wisconsin each had 2 all conference members.
