Deja Vu Times Two in the Big 10

POLLS
Minnesota falls to #17 in the latest D1 poll. Colorado State is lucky #13. Cincinnati is receiving votes.

BIG TEN: Penn State is still perfect, which I guess doesn't count as news. The Big 10 has released their weekly report. PSU is tops in hitting % with .395 and also #1 in opponents hitting % with .070. Minnesota is #5 and #2 respectively. PSU has four of the top five hitters by % in the Big 10.

It is deja vu all over again for the Big 10 weekly winners. Both Ashley Benson of Indiana and Ashley Edinger of Illinois were the hitter and defensive player of the week last week.

Iowa hosts #16 Illinois and #18 Purdue this weekend.

The Badgers Morgan Salow and Allison Wack play Bingo.

MISSOURI VALLEY: Creighton hosts Indiana State and Illinois State.

PAC 10: Washington State hosts #9 UCLA and #10 USC this weekend.

SUMMIT: North Dakota State's Chrissy Knuth (Champlin Park) has been named offensive player of the week in the Summit League. NDSU will face IPFW and Oakland this weekend.

Augustana moves up one to #21.

The Northern Sun has handed out their weekly awards with MSU Mankato's Kimber Kuhl (Chaska) taking the offensive player of the week, Wayne State's Meredy Dubbs (Wood River, Nebraska) taking the defensive honor, and Concordia St. Paul's Maggie McNamara (Zumbrota-Mazeppa) winning her 5th setter award this year.

The MIAC handed out their weekly award winners with St. Thomas' Emily Foster (Hopkins) taking the setter/libero award. Macalester's Sonia Muzikarova (Gymnasium Bilikova, Bratislava, Slovakia) was the hitter of the week.

COMMUNITY COLLEGE
NDSCS beat Williston State in five to win the Region 13. Earlier the Wildcats beat MSU Bottineau. NDSCS's Katrina Brekke (East Grand Forks) was named MVP of the Mon-Dak Conference. From the Wahpeton Daily News.
