COLLEGE REPORTS
BIG 10
The Gophers had two wins this weekend at home vs two top 20 teams. From the MN Daily.

ATLANTIC 10: George Washington beat Fordham in five with a margin of 3 points. GW led 2-0. Abby Syverson (Mpls SW) had 12.5 points for GW.

BIG EAST: Seton Hall beat Marquette in five with a margin of 11 points. Leslie Bielski (Chaska) and Tiara Russell (Osseo) had 15 and 6 points for Marquette.

CUSA: Southern Mississippi beat Marshall in four with a margin of 7 points. Megan Carlson (Andover) had 17 digs for Marshall.

PAC 10: #10 USC swept Washington State with a margin of 13 points. Emily Rooney (Red Wing) had 6.5 points for WSU.

SOUTHERN: Furman swept Elon with a margin of 27 points. Pamela Gehrke (Eastview) played but didn't have any numbers.

BEACH
Former Gopher Nicole Branagh and Tyra Turner finished 2nd to Jen Boss and April Ross in the Phuket, Thailand tournament. The match went three sets.

HIGH SCHOOL NEWS
Former United South Central coach Pete Beckermann has been inducted into the Minnesota High School Coaches Association Hall of Fame. USC won the 1993 volleyball class A title. From the Albert Lea Tribune.
