GANGELHOFF 3 IN A ROW
Katie Gangelhoff won her 3rd straight Setter of the week award from the North Central Conference. Joining her with a weekly award was Rachel Langseth for offense and Chelsea Meierotto on defense. UMD's next game will be today at Michigan Tech.
In the Northern Sun Kelsey Kyro, Concordia St. Paul was offensive player of the week. Two Wayne State players filled out the award list: Laura Dolezal for Defense and Brittany Coleman for setting.
In the MIAC Rachelle Dosch, St. Thomas took the offensive award, and Theresa Perrini, St. Mary's took the defensive award.

POLLS
The MN polls came out yesterday with the only change at the top: DGF is now #1 in AA. They finished second in the Apple Valley tournament. Minneota in A, and Chaska in AAA didn't change.

MN HS ACTION
Belle Plaine pushed its record to 9-0 in a sweep of Mankato East 18, 21, 13. BP's Chelsea Fogarty had 19 kills to lead the way. From the Mankato Free Press.

Caledonia fell behind 2-0, but then got their act together and beat Winona in five. After the game Caledonia was saying it needs to start stronger, and Winona was saying it needs to finish. They both are right. From the Winona Daily News.

In Minneapolis action Henry swept Edison 16, 8, 19. Henry's Kiah Hanssen-Kilpatrick had a hot start as she had four kills on the first six points for Henry. She ended up the night with 10 kills and 9 aces. Henry led 10-4 in game one, but in two rotations Edison went on an 8-1 run to grab a 12-11 lead. After a side out Courtney Phillips delivered six points to put Henry in the driver's seat again with an 18-12 score. Phillips had three aces in that service. KHK wrapped up the first game with two more aces.

Game two saw Edison up 4-3 but it soon turned around in a hurry. Again KHK had the hot hand this time at the service line with nine points, five on aces. After her serve it was 13-4 Henry. Phillips finished off game two with seven service points.

Game three Edison was up 9-5. Then it was Carrie Moua's turn for some service aces. She had six straight points, five on aces as Henry went up 12-9. Edison did regain the lead at 13-12, put took command on Stef Zappa's five service points to go up 20-14.

KHK had 10 kills and 9 aces for Henry. Stef Zappa and Carrie Moua had five aces. For the night Henry had 24 aces. First ball side out % had Henry at .583; and Edison at .292
