UMD, Concordia SP Roll in Conference Openers

NORTH CENTRAL CONFERENCE
#5 UM Duluth won twice this weekend over #13 UN Omaha 20, 23, 23 on Friday and North Dakota 22, 16, 20 on Saturday. UNO and UND each have their own take on the games.

Before the UMD game North Dakota opened the NCC play with a 3-1 win over St. Cloud State. UND won an marathon fourth game 34-32 for the match.

MSU Mankato won the battle of the Mavericks beating UN Omaha in five. UNO led 2-1 before MSU Mankato won game four 30-24 and the final game 16-14.

Augustana topped South Dakota at home despite losing game one 3-1.

NORTHERN SUN
#3 Concordia St. Paul won twice this weekend with sweeps over Winona State and Upper Iowa. CSP only gave up 21 points once to each team.

MSU Moorhead had two sweeps over Northern State and Mary.

SW MN State also had a pair of wins over UM Crookston and Bemidji State. Erin Contons continued her hot hitting with 24 kills against UMC.

Bemidji State was swept by Wayne State on Friday.

UM Crookston also was swept by Wayne State.

CROSSOVER
St. Cloud State picked up a win over Winona State at home on Sunday in five games.
