VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT REHASH

Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa captured the Willmar tournament on Saturday topping Parkers Prairie in the final. Other area team capsules found in the West Central Tribune.

Litchfield won their own tournament beating Mankato East in the finals. Again from the West Central Tribune.

Marshall finished 6th in the Lakeville North touranment and their weekend is recapped in the Marshall Independent.

Bemidji ended up third in the Perham tournament. From the Bemidji Pioneer.

Worthington won the St. James tournament. Other tournament winners included SW Star at Blue Earth; and Round Lake-Brewster at Harris-Lake Park, IA. From the Worthington Daily Globe.

Bigfork decided to go "Hawaiian Style" for their tournament this year and decked out the school with decorations, made Mau Waui's, surfboard trophies and had our line judges wear something tropical. It as a big hit and the teams had lots of fun......the results are as follows:

1st: Littlefork-Big Falls
2nd: Bigfork
3rd: Babbitt-Embarrass
4th: Indus
5th: Albrook
6th: Orr
7th: Cherry
8th: Northome Kelliher

Next year Bigfork is going to expand the tournament to 12 teams and the theme will be western.....Huskie Hoedown.
