TONIGHT'S RESULTS
Minneapolis Henry won a marathon five game match on the road with Mpls Washburn, and they did it the hard way losing the first two games by the narrow margins of 28-26, and 25-23. Washburn was on the verge in game one 24-20 when Henry pulled ahead 25-24. A Miller time out righted the ship and Washburn closed out with four more points to one for Henry.
It was nip and tuck all throughout game two. Washburn had an 8-4 lead early but Henry tied it up on their next serve. Henry led 22-21 but didn't finish. Again Washburn wrapped up the win with a 4-1 run.
Henry cleaned up their act in game three and led by as much as 13 at 18-5 and 20-7. Washburn fought back with runs of five and six. Henry did finish out with a 25-18 win.
Again Henry broke free early with Carrie Moua delivering two aces in a four point run to make it 10-6. Henry pushed it out to a 21-12 lead, but Washburn wasn't done yet. After a side out the Millers ran off five straight to make it 21-18. Washburn missed their serve, and Schanell Gauna aced it for Henry to put the Patriots on the cusp. Henry finished up 25-19.
In game five Koua Xiong ripped off five straight serves to put Henry a leg up. That lead was extended to 9-3 after the second server for Henry. Washburn fought back to 13-8, but Katrina Caldwell got a side out kill. Henry finished the 2:15 match with a 15-10 win.
