NORTHERN LIGHTS CONNECTION
The Gopher Freshman Triplets are featured in the Minnesota Daily, but there is also the fourth Northern Lights addition----coach Adam Beamer.

IOWA CHAMPIONSHIPS
Iowa State is getting ready for the mythological Iowa State championship series with a match against Northern Iowa tonight. They face Iowa and Drake on Saturday in Des Moines.

SOUTH DAKOTA STATE
SDSU has a new look website and they have started the season 6-3 after a 3-1 win over Lamar on Monday. Samantha Pearson was named defensive player of the week in the Summit League. Freshman Annie Adams of Crosby-Ironton has been starting for SDSU.

Stony Brook was swept by St. John's last night. Eastview's Alicia Nelson had seven kills for Stony Brook.

AWARDS
UM Duluth picked up two player awards in the North Central conference this week with Katie Gangelhoff the Setter of the Week and Kari Wolford the Offensive player of the week. Wolford didn't stop there as she was named the D2 National Player of the Week. All this despite not being named all tournament in Denver last weekend.
Also picking up awards in the NCC was Kathleen Hruska of South Dakota who shared the Offensive award with Wolford; and Danielle Zimmermann of MN State Mankato who won the defensive honor.

In the Northern Sun, Maggie McNamara, Concordia-St. Paul, grabbed her second straight setter of the week award.
Leah Ashburn, SW MN State took the offensive honors while Laura Dolezal, Wayne State took home the defensive award.

#3 Concordia St. Paul beat St. Cloud State in four.
