MINNESOTA TRIPLETS
The three freshmen for the Gophers are already making an impact on the team. Hailey Cowles, Brook Dieter, and Lauren Gibbemeyer all are starting. Mike Max from WCCO TV has the report on the Minnesota Triplets. The video last 3:07.
One of the triplets...Brook Dieter was Big 10 player of the week, a rarity for a frosh.
The Gophers are now #12 in the national poll, dropping three spots. Penn State and Wisconsin, despite picking up losses this weekend, defied gravity and stayed at #3 and #10. Michigan jumped six spots to #14. Ohio State was not able to overcome gravity and fell seven spots to #20. Ohio, the team the Gophers lost to in five rocketed up 10 spots to #13.

The D2 polls are now out and Concordia St. Paul is #3, UM Duluth #4. SW MN State jumps 14 spots to #11. UN Omaha and Augustana are #16 and #17, while Wayne State is #23 and MN State Mankato is tied at #25.
The Marshall Independent reports on the SW MN State 3-1 loss to #2 UM Duluth in the Denver tournament.
The Winona State Winonan looks at the young Winona State volleyball team. This story is a bit late since the Flyer Festival happened last weekend.
COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Ridgewater finished 2-1 in their own tournament on Saturday. They beat Ellsworth, IA and Bismarck State. The loss came to Des Moines. From the West Central Tribune.
