#16 UN Omaha beat St. Cloud State in a sweep 21, 27, 24. It was UNO's first conference win. SCSU is looking for their first in conference.

NORTHERN SUN
#3 Concordia St. Paul had a tight first game with Northern State, and then put the hammer down 31-29, 21, 21 in a sweep. Kelsey Kyro reached 1000 kills in the match for CSP, the 8th Golden Bear to do so.
In a battle in the Northern half of the Northern Sun MSU Moorhead had brooms ready for UM Crookston 22, 22, 20.

#6 St. Thomas got back on the winning track Saturday with a 20, 22, 21 sweep of St. Mary's.

NAIA
In UMAC action at Presentation this last weekend Northwestern MN lost twice on Saturday to Bethany Lutheran in five and to Martin Luther in four. It was a different story on Friday with NW winning twice--against the hosts and UM Morris.

JUCO
Itasca CC took out Northland CC in MN North Conference action last Wednesday. All three games in the sweep were by the slimmest of margins 31-29, 28, 28. From the Grand Rapids Herald-Review.

Hibbing worked on blocking last week in practice and that seemed to have turned the trick in a shutdown 12, 13, 17 win over Duluth East. Report is from the Hibbing Daily Tribune.
