Class Dividing

CLASS DIVIDING?
Steve Niklaus of Annandale has proposed a new dividing line for MN HS classes. Instead of equal number of schools in each class the idea is to have 96 in AAA, 128 in AA and the balance in A. The proposal is at the bottom of this article in the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

GOPHER'S WEEKEND
The Gophers (#24) will be headed into the belly of the beast this weekend with games against #2 Penn State and #14 Ohio State. Rachel Hartmann is able to play after injuring her fingers in the Michigan State game.

HS ACTION
#1A Minneota is still undefeated as they swept Renville County West 8, 16, 12. RCW was 5-1 in conference before this match.
Lakeview led 21-13 in game one, but lost 31-29 to MACCRAY. It was to be the last game they lost as they swept the next three 15, 23, 18. Both stories from the Marshall Independent.

Winona beat Faribault in Big 9 action in four. They too lost the first game, but swept the rest.

Champlin Park lost the first two games to Elk River, but then put it together for three straight wins in a Northwest Suburban contest. CP eliminated mistakes in a 25-4 3rd game win. Another from the ERSN.
