Gophers Take Game Off #2 Penn State, Adams Verbals

VERBAL
Annie Adams, Crosby-Ironton has made a verbal to South Dakota State

D1 ACTION
The #24 Gophers lost to Penn State in four last night, but was able to take a game off the #2 team in the nation. It was the first time a team was able to pick a game from Penn State during the conference season. The Gophers next play on Sunday at Ohio State.

D2 ACTION
NORTH CENTRAL
MSU Mankato swept South Dakota 22, 19, 25.

NORTHERN SUN
SW MN State won twice in the Crossover Challenge in Moorhead. They had two sweeps on the night against Mary and MSU Moorhead. It was revenge against Moorhead who earlier beat SW MN State. From the Marshall Independent.
Winona State also won twice knocking off UM Crookston in three and Northern State in four. From the Winona Daily News.
#7 Concordia St. Paul swept UM Crookston and is now 10-0 in conference.
Bemidji State went the distance in a 3-2 win over Upper Iowa.
MSU Moorhead Swept Upper Iowa before losing to SW MN State.
#24 Wayne State had to rally to beat Northern State in four, but the last game went extra and then some as WSU pulled it off 37-35.

HS ACTION
Marshall was 1-1 at the Lakeville North tournament, they beat Bloomington Jefferson, but lost to host Eastview in three games. Marshall was able to even the match with Eastview with a 25-11 win, but fell 15-9 in game three. From the Marshall Independent.
