#5 UM Duluth swept Bemidji State 17, 19, 19 in a meeting between two former conference rivals.

#22 SW MN State knocked off Augustana in four. The only blemish was a game one loss.
#3 Concordia St. Paul mowed down St. Cloud State in a sweep 17, 17, 24. The Northern Sun ended up 2-1 for the night over the North Central.

In another win for the North Central, #21 Nebraska Omaha swept NW Missouri State 27, 20, 23.

Concoridia Moorhead rolled Hamline after a tight first game 31-29, 15, 23.

HS ACTION
Jennifer Lopez of #1AA DGF reached the 1000 kill mark in a 15, 11, 17 over West Central in Heart O'Lakes action. From the Fargo Forum.

Marshall continued to roll through the regular season as they swept Mankato West 13, 8, 17. from the

Jackson County Central beat larger school Mankato East in four. From the Mankato Free Press.

Mabel-Canton won their 83rd consecutive Southeast conference match. From the Winona Daily News.

#5A Ada-Borup had the brooms ready for Park Christian in a 8, 15, 14 sweep. From the Fargo Forum.

Moorhead thumped Detroit Lakes 16, 14, 25. from the Fargo Forum.

Byron ran into Stewartville's buzz saw serving in tonight's match which made it difficult for the Bears to run their own aggressive offense. The atmosphere was "tournament-like" in the first match ever in Byron's brand new jammed gym. Stewartville showed they are a state champion contender with their near flawless play. The Tigers beat the Bears in 3 straight games 25-18, 25-8, 25-15. Jill Storlie and Ashley Pyfferoen each had 6 kills for Byron. Storlie also had 3 ace serves and Pyffroen had 2 ace serves. Racquel Reker had 5 kills and 7 digs, Nicole Koester had 12 digs, Brittlyn Olson had 10 set assists, Stephanie Vosberg had 6 digs and 3 sets assists. Byron is 13-5 overall and 6-1 in the HVL. Byron plays at Lake City Thurs.

This weekend Bigfork will host their first On the Edge Tournament with these teams in attendance-- Bigfork, Albrook, Cherry, Indus, Northome-Kelliher, Orr, Littlefork and Babbitt-Embarrass.
