MPLS SOUTH VB HELPS HURRICANE VICTIMS
Minneapolis South is raising money for the Chalmette HS volleyball in Louisiana. The StarTribune talks about how the decision to support the school happened and what the South team is doing to raise money.
If people want to help out they can bid on a silent auction for two tickets to the Minnesota Viking/New England Patriot Monday Night Football game on October 30.

ANNIE ADAMS
Annie Adams, Crosby-Ironton was recently named player of the week in the Brainerd Dispatch. The 6-1 senior outside hitter has made a verbal to South Dakota State for volleyball. She had 84 kills last week.

PARTY BUSTED
Crookston students had a party and alcohol was involved. It is unclear which athletes were involved.
The volleyball roster wasn't impacted Monday, but may be later in the week. Crookston lost to Roseau in four. Both stories from the Crookston Times.

Paynesville lost twice last week to Long Prairie-Grey Eagle and New London-Spicer. From the Paynesville Press.

Meadow Creek busted Minneapolis Henry in a 12, 8, 9 sweep. MC started off with 11 straight points off Casey Fregeau's serve. That would set the tone the rest of the night.
In game two the game was tied at 5 when MC broke it open on Hannah Weinzetl's serve with six straight points. Henry only managed three more points after that.
MC scored points off every serve to start the third game and was never in any danger. The service game all night proved to be challenging to Henry with an unofficial total of 13 aces.
