WEEKLY AWARDS
North Dakota took two of the three North Central Awards this week. Tara Holmen won the offensive award, and Allison Louwagie took the setter honor. Stacie Wemhoff of Nebraska Omaha prevented a Sioux Sweep. Holmen also had a share of the award last week. Louwagie also has two awards picking up her first two weeks ago. It was Wemhoff's first honor.

In the Northern Sun, Erin Contons, SW MN State won the offensive award for the third time. Teammate Monica Ashburn took setting honors. It was her first honor. In the defensive side of things Melanie Perez, Northern State won her third award preventing the SW MN State hat trick.

Lana Brand, St. Catherine's took MIAC offensive honors, while Jill Hance of Concordia Moorhead won the setter/libero award. Both players were first time winners.

PUBLICITY & SUCCESS
It takes more than two to make it in volleyball. Some players get more ink than others. Here are some unsung players on the Hibbing Community College team that are instrumental in their success.

MN POLLS
The new polls are out & the only team remaining #1 is in Class A--Minneota. DGF returned to the top in AA, and Eden Prairie gave way to Chaska. It is Chaska's second time at the top spot in AAA.

MN GAMES
With a short week due to MEA a lot of games are front loaded this week.
Shakopee took down #2AAA Eden Prairie in three. The first two games went 26-24. Game three was a more comfortable 25-16.
