SOUTH SWEEPS HENRY
Minneapolis South beat Henry in three games 18, 16, 22. South established their lead early in game one and had a 13-9 lead when Henry took a time out. South got three points on Elizabeth Gran's serve to make it 19-11.
South again had early leads at 10-7. Henry fought back and trailed 18-15 after a Jannetta Parker side out kill on Taquoia Hammick's serve. But South got the side out on Carrie Moua's serve and then rattled off five straight points to put it at game point. South had a hitting error, and Courtney Phillips had a service error to end game two.
South led early 7-4 in game three. Henry kept working to get back in the game and had a string where they had six straight side outs and that helped them to a 19-17 lead. But on Elizabeth Gran's serve South added four points before she missed her serve. Henry had to take two time outs on Gran's serve. South led 22-20. A missed Henry serve, and a South hitting error make it 23-21. Schanell Gauna had an overpass kill on Stef Zappa's serve to make it 23-22 South. But Zappa's serve ended on a Gauna hitting error. The match ended on a passing error.
Henry only had one ace on the night.
