BORDER BRAWL
#12 Minnesota faces #10 Wisconsin in a game to determine which team will be alone in second in the Big 10. It also may determine who gets a first round NCAA tournament game for Dec 1 & 2. Wisconsin is looking for revenge as the Gophers beat them in October. From the Badger Herald. The Minnesota Daily also has the build up. Madison should be rockin' tonight.

D2 NEWS
UM Duluth is now #2 in the country after their North Central regional win over host Concordia St. Paul. They open the Elite 8 D2 tournament in Pensacola.

It looks like the North Central Conference days will be getting shorter. North Dakota is gone soon, South Dakota is also going the D1 route. Augustana has asked to get into the Northern Sun. Nebraska Omaha has asked to get into the Mid American conference. That leaves UM Duluth, St. Cloud State, and MSU Mankato with a rump three team conference. From the StarTribune.

HS HONORS/AWARDS
Kelsey Brandl - Lakeville North and M1 17-1’s - will be traveling to Venice, Italy after Christmas with the USA Youth Volleyball team.

Zimmerman named their MVP: Hannah Downing. From the Elk River Star News.
Hannah Downing and Jenna Anderson were named to the Rum River Team.

The Red Rock has named their all conference team. From the Worthington Daily Globe.

The Iron Range named their all Conference team. It is found in the Duluth News Tribune scoreboard section. scroll, scroll, scroll down down down.

Also tonight there is an all star game in Duluth tonight. The Bernick’s Pepsi All-Star Game will take place in Hermantown at 8:15 pm. again the roster will be found in the scoreboard.

The West Central North and South have named their All Conference teams.
