Lucia, Braegelmann Honored

POLLS & AWARDS
The Gophers only dropped one spot in the AVCA poll after their loss at Michigan.

The North Central Conference has named their all conference team. Vicky Braegelmann, UM Duluth picked up the player of the year honor. Coach of the year horors went to Jim Boos, UM Duluth. The NCC also listed their Academic Team.
The last NCC weekly awards all went to Nebraska Omaha players: Ellen Thommes for offfense; Stacie Wemhoff on defense, and Katie Agnew for setting.

The North Central region has also come out. Erin Contons, SW MN State has been named for the second straight year. From the Marshall Independent.
Concordia St. Paul's Jessica Lucia was named player of the year for the second straight year, and she is joined on the squad with Kelsey Kyro, and Maggie McNamara. Megan Graham made the second team.

We have already posted about St. Cloud State and their season ending loss to South Dakota. Now here is the St. Cloud University Chronicle's story and take on the season.

HS NEWS
The Minnesota River is probably the toughest AA conference, and LeSueur-Henderson Dave Nixon is quoted in the Star Tribune about the battles in that conference. You will need to scroll past football information.

The Marshall Independent features key liberos that are headed to state: Shay Birath for Marshall; and Brooke Minnehan for Minneota.

There are some volleyball tidbits in the St. Paul Pioneer Press. Lakeville North and Blaine are both showcased, you will need to scroll past other things.

HS ALL CONFERENCE LISTS
The Winona Daily News has the all conference lists for the Three Rivers, Southeast, and Dairyland conferences. Hannah Glor was named player in the Southeast.
