A SEMIFINALS
MINNEOTA 3, CENTRAL CHRISTIAN 2
22-25, 25-19, 25-16, 21-25, 15-12

The original idea was to watch this game in full, but the LN/Blaine game started about 20 minutes late because the Wayzata/Moorhead game ran late. Then that game also went a nailbiting five. After the game I needed to eat, so by the time I went over to court 1 (LN/B was on court 2) the game was already done with two games. So I will just give a brief idea of the games.

More runs, less fbso in game three. Minneota had lefty Alyssa Buysse serve up six points. To give you an idea how quick this game was it was over in 8 servers. No one could stop any one.

In game four Minneota built a 5-1 lead, but never halted Central Christian's chances and they took the lead at 17-12. Both teams got their fbso mojo back in this game and Central Christian slammed the door on Minneota the last 8 of 9 servers. CC did close to 23-20, but the fbso did the trick. This pushed the match to five games.

This game had the flavor of game three where everybody scored and runs came in bunches. There were five runs of three or more by both teams combined out of 11 possible servers. Claire Kopfmann of Minneota ended the game with a kill out of the middle. She also had the largest run of four service points starting off with an ace.
