BRIEF SUMMER

PRESEASON OUTLOOKS
The ACC has made their preseason predictions. North Carolina has been picked for 4th. NC's libero Brianna Eskola of Columbia Heights has been selected on the preseason all Conference team.

UM Duluth opened practice yesterday hoping to take the next step and erase the memory of the last game last year. From the Duluth News Tribune.

FIRST MATCHES
Illinois will open their season on August 29 with the State Farm Classic when they hope to "Stuff Huff."

TELEVISION
There will be 23 Big 10 volleyball matches on cable, 20 on the Big 10 network this season.
