SEASON PREVIEW
HIGH SCHOOL:
Woodbury has four starters 6-0 plus and has expectations just as high. From the StarTribune on the second page of the article, midway down.

D1:
Setter Bridget Denson-Dorman is one of two transfers to South Carolina. BDD played her high school ball at Armstrong and Hopkins and transferred from UConn.

Iowa State met the media yesterday.

Stony Brook is picked for 5th in the America East Conference.

D3:
Gustavus started practice last Saturday.

St. Thomas is one of the 10 teams to watch in D3. With Catherine McCaffrey of St. Thomas one of the 10 players to watch.

COMMUNITY COLLEGE:
Minnesota West is previewed in the Worthington Daily Globe.

POLLS
D1: Iowa State is #18 in the preseason poll.

D2: Concordia St. Paul starts off the season as the #1 team in the country with UM Duluth #8, SW MN State #12, and MSU Mankato is #19.

OLYMPICS
Former Gopher Lindsey Berg and the women's volleyball indoor team face Cuba in the semifinals. Berg came in and got the Americans going in a comeback win over #2 Italy in the quarterfinals. From the StarTribune and Pioneer Press.
