WIN 400
Jane Peterson, coach of Central Lakes has a feature in the Brainerd Dispatch on the milestone 400th win on Sept 15 and her successful career.

LATE RESULTS
You just tripled you win total from last year. How do you celebrate? TP the coach's house. That is what Austin did when the won their 9th game of the year. From the Austin Daily Herald.

Here is the Austin Daily Herald report on the Anoka-Ramsey four game win over Riverland.

WHAT GOES INTO WINNING
Here are some numbers and facts from the games I have charted this year at both the High School and D1 Gopher games:
FBSO (First Ball Side Out): The break point seems to be at .575 on this stat at the HS level. The only team that lost above the mark was Mayer Lutheran (.606) against Eden Prairie (.694), but as you can see they were trumped by EP.
In the D1 games with the Gophers the mark is .590 with a record of 5-1. The only loss was Minnesota against Ohio.
POINTS EARNED/ALLOWED: There isn't a strong trend in either direction which surprises me. I thought the allowed portion might correlate better. When I checked on points allowed per game the stats were 8-3 when teams allowed less than 6.8 ppg.
However it was a different matter when it came to earned points. If a team earned at least 14.7 ppg their margin is 11-0.
In the Gopher games if you earn more than 20 points a game the record is 4-0. If you allow less than 7.3 ppg the result is 3-1. The only loss being tagged on San Diego against the Gophers.
3+ RUNS: If a team averages 2.67 runs per game their collective record is 10-0, and if they give up less than 1.67 runs per game the collective record is 12-1. The only loss was Mayer Lutheran in the Eden Prairie game. The key differential is 0.75 more runs for your team than allowed. That record is 11-0.
For the Gophers a 2.33 rpg the record is 3-1, and a 1.5 runs allowed per game record is 3-1.
The numbers are probably too small to draw big conclusions at least the D1 level.
