Last night the Gophers opened with a sweep over Purdue. You can check out my report.

Indiana, the Gophers next opponent, won in five over Iowa. The Hoosiers lost the first two games before winning the last three including the last two nail biters.

#10 Michigan had a scare with a fiver with Illinois. Michigan is now 5-0 in fivers this year.

Northwestern upset #23 Ohio State with rallies at several points. OSU's Danielle Meyer had 23 kills in the loss.

#3 Penn State mowed down Michigan State in three. It was PSU coach Russ Rose picked up career win #900 the only coach in the club.

SUMMIT LEAGUE
North Dakota State beat IUPUI in four. Christy Stuewe (Mayer Lutheran) tied a career high with 26 kills for NDSU.

South Dakota State topped Oakland in four. It was SDSU's 10th straight win.

OTHERS
San Diego beat UC Irvine in four. Laurel Abrahamson (Bloomington Jefferson) had 14 kills for USD.

Creighton beat Northern Iowa in five despite trailing 2-0 in Cedar Falls. Allie Oelke (Chaska) had 16 kills for Creighton. Amy Sampson (Champlin Park) had a season high 17 kills for UNI.

Stony Brook beat Brown in the hosts own invitational. It was Stony Brook's fifth straight win. Alicia Nelson (Eastview) had 13 kills for Stony Brook.

#19 Ohio swept Buffalo. Amanda Anderson (Centennial) missed the match due to injury.
