OSSEO TOURNAMENT
Osseo won the Osseo tournament today beating Rochester Mayo 25-19, 25-22 in the championship. It was Osseo's first championship in their own tournament in four years.

Minneapolis Henry were swept in all four matches today. Osseo dropped the Patriots 25-11, 10. A theme of the day: fatal runs. Osseo had a 8 and 7 runs late in each game to put the game out of reach. In the second match Henry led Rogers 16-13 in game one, but were outscored 12-1 to finish the first stanza. In game two it was Rogers up 14-12 when the Royals revved it up again for a 11-3 run. In the third contest of the day DeLaSalle had Henry on the ropes 22-11 thanks to a 9-0 run. Even though things looked pretty bleak the Patriots picked themselves up off the ground and ran off 10 points on Koua Xiong's serve to make it 22-21 before a DLS side out ended the magic. Xiong had three aces in that burst. DLS led 24-21 when a missed serve and then a net violation put Henry close to knotting the score up, but a kill from the right side ended the first game. It was deja vu all over again in game two. DLS led 20-12 after a 7-0 run. This time however the similarities ended. There was no corresponding big run by the Patriots. In the final match for 7th place St. Paul Highland Park had more in the tank. They had two runs of 7 in game one for a 25-14 win. In the second frame the runs were six points twice in a replay 25-14 win.
