Suapaia To Walk On

GOPHER WALK ON
Ashley Suapaia, Bloomington Kennedy will walk on at the University of Minnesota next season. She is a libero. She joins
6-5 Tabi Love of Dauphin, Manitoba;
5-11 Alex Blatt of Orland Park, Ill. a setter. She is from Sandburg HS #45 in the PrepVolleyball.com poll.
6-2 Ariana Filho of Monument, Colorado. She wrote a blog entry when she was a member of the USA National Youth Team last winter.
5-9 Jessica Granquist of Blaine
as the 2008 senior class.

TONIGHT
Goodhue defeated Byron 26-24, 22-25, 24-26, 19-25 in a tight Hiawatha Valley match.

In a not so tight match Minneapolis Southwest remained undefeated in the city with a sweep over Henry (25-15, 25-16, 25-12)

LATE MONDAY
Big Lake beat Rogers 3-1 in Mississippi 8 action. It was Rogers' first conference loss of the year. From the Elk River Star News.

LAST WEEK
Sauk Centre topped Melrose last week in four in the West Central North Conference. From the Sauk Centre Herald.

POLLS
The StarTribune looks at the rise of SW MN State in the D2 polls. The Mustangs started the season #25 and are now #4.

In the D3 polls this week MIAC schools St. Thomas is #6, Concordia Moorhead #12 and Carleton is 25th.

M*A*S*H UNIT
Winona State had five of their seven starters injured last week. There past week is recounted in the Winonan the Winona State campus paper.
