AWARD WINNERS
Monday is award day and here are the weekly winners.

D1
Gopher Brook Dieter, freshman outside hitter, has been named athlete of the week in the Big 10.
The Minnesota Gophers edged up in the polls to #12 this week.

D2
Two Augustana players, right side Ellen Andrews (Bancroft, NE) and setter Lisa Hoegh (Byron); plus libero Andreana Pieper (Lake of the Woods) of St. Cloud State were named Athletes of the Week in the North Central. Hoegh's win snapped a three week winning streak by UM Duluth setter Katie Gangelhoff.

The Northern Sun named two SW MN State players Athletes of the Week: Outside hitter Erin Contons (Apple Valley) and setter Sara Graf (Mount Pleasant, IA). Also making the list on defense was middle Kelci Guenther (Williston, ND) of MSU Moorhead.

Former Marshall standout Amanda Beekman, now at MSU Mankato, gets a feature in the Marshall Independent. #6 SW MN State and #15 MSU Mankato face each other tonight.

D3
In the MIAC it was outside hitter Liz Glesne (Underwood) of Bethel and setter Emily Foster (Hopkins) of St. Thomas that nabbed Athlete of the week honors.
