Gangelhoff Three for Three

WEEKLY AWARDS
NORTH CENTRAL
They may have to rename the setter award in the North Central Conference the Gangelhoff as UM Duluth setter as Katie Gangelhoff won for the third straight time this year. Gangelhoff is from South St. Paul.
Other NCC volleyball awards went to Kathleen Hruska of South Dakota for offensive efforts and Kayla Schroeder of Augustana for defense. Hruska is from Sioux Falls Roosevelt and has won two awards this season; Schroeder is from Kasson-Mantorville.

NORTHERN SUN
Southwest State took two weekly volleyball honors in the Northern Sun Conference. Laura Hegerle was named offensive player and Sara Graf was named setter. Bemidji State's Brie Groskreutz took defensive honors preventing a sweep by the Mustangs. Hegerle played HS ball at Kasson-Mantorville; Graf is from Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; and Groskreutz is from Reedsburg, WI.

MIAC
Sarah Gardner of St. Mary's was named offensive player and Heather La Chapelle of Carleton was named setter/libero player In the MIAC. Gardner is from Rochester Mayo, La Chapelle is from Eagan.

BIG 10
Penn State's Megan Hodge and Michigan State's Janilee Rathje were named players of the week in the Big 10.

FEATURE
Sarah Draves of Michigan is having a breakout senior season. She won the MVP award at the Miami, OH tournament recently and has been a force on the right side. From the Michigan Daily.
