Gophers Sweep Indiana

Minnesota swept Indiana with a margin of 19 points. Lauren Gibbemeyer had 19 points for the Gophers. Erica Short had 20 points for the Hoosiers.
Today the Gophers face #1 Penn State and Patrick Reusse of the StarTribune has a preview plus admiration for the Gophers tough schedule.

Michigan State beat Northwestern in five with a margin of 4 points. Vanessa King had 18 points for the Spartans. Sabel Moffett had 16 points for NW. Naomi Johnson (Bloomington Kennedy) had 11 points for the Wildcats.

#19 Illinois swept Ohio State with a margin of 19 points. Laura DeBruhler had 14 points for Illinois. Anna Szerszen had 12.5 points for OSU. Susan Halverson (Apple Valley) had 1 dig for the Buckeyes.

#23 Michigan beat #18 Purdue in four with a margin of 5 points. Coach Mark Rosen becomes Michigan's career wins leader with victory 178. Alex Hunt and Juliana Paz each had 21.5 points for the Wolverines. Carrie Grunell had 16.5 points for Purdue.

#1 Penn State swept Iowa with a margin of 12 points. Nicole Fawcett had 15 points for PSU. Catherine Smale had 10.5 points for the Hawkeyes.
