Wadena-Deer Creek Rallies Down 2-0

AA PLAYOFFS
There were 24 games in AA playoff action last night.
There were 12 sweeps and 4 that went five.
There were five lower seeds beating higher seeds. One #1 seed fell. #2S Wadena-Deer Creek beat #1S Perham in five in section 8AA and did it the hard way trailing 2-0.
No ranked teams fell.

SECTION 2
#3W Maple River beat #2W Blue Earth in four with a margin of 18 points. From the Mankato Free Press.
#1W LeSueur-Henderson beat Sibley East in four with a margin of 46 points.
#1E Jordan (and #1 in the AA poll) swept #4E Holy Family with a margin of 43 points. From the SW Scoreboard.
#2E Belle Plaine swept #6 Montgomery-Lonsdale with a margin of 27 points.

SECTION 3
#3S Jackson County Central swept #2S Worthington with a margin of 12 points. The Trojans beat the Huskies during the season. From the Worthington Daily Globe.
Defending AA Champion #1S Marshall swept #4S Pipestone with a margin of 43 points. From the Marshall Independent and Worthington Daily Globe.
#1N Yellow Medicine East swept #5N Montevideo with a margin of 20 points. From the Marshall Independent.
#3N Lac Qui Parle Valley beat #2N Benson in four with a margin of 11 points. From the West Central Tribune.

SECTION 4
The remaining teams standing in section four are all privates. #1E Visitation went five to beat #4E St. Croix Lutheran. #2E Concordia Roseville beat St. Paul Johnson in five. In the West #1 Minnehaha and #2 DeLaSalle both swept #5 North and #3 Washburn respectively.
Minnehaha is looking for their first state tournament bid ever. In the middle of the StarTribune prep west section.

SECTION 5
In the north #2 Foley swept #3 Zimmerman with a margin of 22 points and #1 Mora outlasted #5 Becker in five with a margin of 6 points. From the St. Cloud Times.
In the South the top two seeds moved on with #1 Delano sweeping #5 Orono and #2 Fridley topping #3 St. Anthony in four.

SECTION 6
#1N St. Cloud Cathedral swept #5N Albany with a margin of 48 points. From the St. Cloud Times.
#2N Sauk Centre swept #3N Melrose with a margin of 10 points.
#3S New London-Spicer beat #2S Litchfield in five with a margin of 12 points. NLS led 2-0. From the West Central Tribune.
#1S Rocori beat #5S Annandale with a margin of 14 points.

SECTION 7
#1S Esko beat #2N Virginia in four with a margin of 18 points.
#1N Hibbing swept #2S Cloquet with a margin of 26 points. From the Duluth News Tribune.

SECTION 8
#1N East Grand Forks beat #2N DGF in four with a margin of 21 points. From the Grand Forks Herald and Fargo Forum.
#2S Wadena-Deer Creek beat #1S Perham in five with a margin of 3 points. Perham led 2-0.
