Lakeville North Stops #1 Shakopee

HIGH SCHOOL RESULTS
Here are the tournament winners. Hosts won five of the 13 events and finished second in five.
APPLE VALLEY: Apple Valley swept Delano 2-0 with a margin of 12 points.

BYRON: Chatfield won the tournament with Kingsland in second. From the Rochester Post Bulletin.

CRETIN-DERHAM HALL: CDH won their own tournament with a sweep of Minneapolis South 2-0 with a 30 point margin.

HERITAGE CHRISTIAN: Heritage Christian won their own tournament with a 2-1 win over Holy Family with a 5 point margin.

LAKEVILLE NORTH (TODD BACHMAN TOURNAMENT): Lakeville North swept Shakopee 2-0 with a margin of 9 points for the title.
Shakopee beat Eastview in the semis in three. Eastview took the first set 25-23, and Shako flipped that in the second set. The Sabers kept the lead in the third.
Lakeville North went three to beat Jordan in the semis. The third set was 17-15.
This is the 2nd time this year that North has beat Shakopee and the second year in a row LN beat Shakopee in the finals of the LN tournament.

MORA: Rocori swept Mora 2-0 with a margin of 12 points.

NEVIS: Sebeka beat the hosts 2-1 with a margin of 11 points.

PARK-COTTAGE GROVE: Maple Grove beat the hosts in a 2-0 sweep with a margin of 19 points.

PERHAM: Perham swept Climax-Fisher 2-0 with a margin 11 points. Bemidji finished in 3rd place. From the Bemidji Pioneer.

ST. JAMES: Worthington beat the hosts in a sweep with a margin of 26 points.

TWO HARBORS: Eveleth-Gilbert beat the hosts in a 2-0 sweep with a margin of 14 points.

WARREN-ALVARADO-OSLO: Red Lake Falls and the Northern Freeze faced each other for the championship.

WILLMAR: Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa swept New London-Spicer 2-0 with a margin of 16 points. From the St. Cloud Times.

LATE RESULTS
Park Rapids swept Cass Lake-Bena with a margin of 18 points. From the Park Rapids Enterprise.

Detroit Lakes swept Thief River Falls with a 16 point margin. DL trailed 20-12 in set one before rallying for a 26-24 win. From the Detroit Lakes Tribune.

ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Britta Berg of Wadena-Deer Creek was named Athlete of the Week for the Brainerd Dispatch.
