Virginia, George Washington Rally from 2 Down

MORE D1 FRIDAY RESULTS
ACC: North Carolina swept Clemson with a margin of 13 points. Brianna Eskola (Columbia Heights) had 8 digs for UNC.
Virginia rallied from a 2-0 deficit to beat Miami FL in five with a margin of 9 points. Marlow Bruneau (Lakeville) had 18 assists and 6.5 points for the Cavaliers.

ATLANTIC 10: George Washington beat Fordham in five. For the night Fordham had 1 point advantage. Fordham led 2-0. Three of the sets went extra points, GW was 2-1 in those contests. Abby Syverson (Minneapolis Southwest) had 13 points for GW.
Rhode Island swept Charlotte with a margin of 14 points. Courtney Cowles (Eden Prairie) had 26 assists and 5 points for the 49ers.

CUSA: SMU swept Marshall with a margin of 22 points. Megan Carlson (Andover) had 7 points for Marshall.

MEAC: Maryland-Eastern Shore swept Delaware State with a margin of 15 points. Chanita Wesley (Benilde-St. Margaret's) played, but did not chart points.

MID AMERICAN: Ohio swept Northern Illinois with a margin of 26 points. Amanda Andersen (Centennial) had 13 points for the Bobcats.

MISSOURI VALLEY: #12 Wichita State swept Creighton with a margin of 22 points. Jessica Houts (Bloomington Kennedy) Allie Oelke (Chaska) had 5 and 3 points respectively.
Northern Iowa swept Indiana State with a margin of 22 points. Amy Sampson (Champlin Park) had 10.5 points for UNI.

MOUNTAIN WEST: Colorado State swept Wyoming with a margin of 14 points. Tessa Nelson (Tracy-Milroy-Balaton) had 7.5 points for the Rams.

PAC 10: #6 Washington swept Washington State with a margin of 28 points. Emily Rooney (Red Wing) had 6.5 points for WS.

SEC: Georgia beat South Carolina in five with a margin of 3 points. Bridget Denson-Dorman (Hopkins) had 52 assists and 2 points for USC.

WEST COAST: Gonzaga swept Portland with a margin of 22 points. Jennifer Sheedy (Totino-Grace) had 6 points for Portland.

AWARDS
OH Jacey Tagavilla (Honolulu) was named North Dakota's athlete of the week.
