Big 10: Three five set Matches

FRIDAY'S BIG 10 RESULTS
Purdue knocked Iowa off the top of the Big 10 standings with a narrow sweep of the Hawkeyes by a margin of 8 points. Denita Merlau had 16 points for Purdue. Catherine Smale had 14 points for Iowa.

Indiana beat Michigan State in four with a margin of 18 points. Erica Short had 18.5 points for the Hoosiers. Vanessa King had 18.5 points for the Spartans.

#20 Wisconsin topped #22 Michigan in five. The point margin was an even zero. The Wolverines led 2-0. Audra Jeffers had 21 points for the Badgers. Nikki Klingsporn (Tartan) had 30 assists and 1 point for Wisconsin. Juliana Paz had 21.5 point for Michigan.

#13 Minnesota beat #19 Illinois in five sets with a margin of 4 points. Brook Dieter (Bloomington Kennedy) had 20 points for the Gophers. Laura DeBruhler had 26 points for Illinois.

Ohio State beat Northwestern in five sets. The Wildcats actually had an 8 point advantage on the night. Katie Dull had 19.5 points for OSU. Susan Halverson (Apple Valley) had 7 digs and 2 points for the Buckeyes. Naomi Johnson (Bloomington Kennedy) led NW with 17.5 points.
