GOPHER VIOLATIONS REVEALED, OUT OF TOP 25
Kellly Bowman and Malama Peniata participated in a sand volleyball tournament over the summer which broke NCAA rules, hence the suspensions. The Gophers didn't have the same feel this past weekend in St. Louis without them where they lost to LSU and Texas A&M. Things should improve with both back in the line up. Peniata will have to sit out at Nebraska. Here is the campus paper the Minnesota Daily on the suspensions and recap of the St. Louis tournament. Minnesota is now out of the top 25 poll. LSU is now 22.

BIG MATCH UP
Tonight SW MN State 8-1 travels to UM Duluth 7-1. UMD was #5 in the preseason D2 poll. SW MN State opened the season by beating #1 Grand Valley State. SW MN State's loss is to Florida Southern in 3, UMD also lost to Florida Southern, but in five.

JUCO RESULTS
MSCTC Fergus Falls went to Ridgewater last weekend and finished 1-2. They picked up wins against Ellsworth, IA, and lost to Bismarck State in two, and Bethel JV in three. More from the Fergus Falls Daily Journal.

Next up: tomorrow morning with results of HS action.
