UM Duluth Doubles Up Awards

PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Two UM Duluth players Katie Gangelhoff, and Vicky Braegelmann were PotW for the second week in a row in the North Central Conference.
Erin Contons, SW MN State and Maggie McNamara, Concordia St. Paul were PotW in the Northern Sun. The Northern Sun also has the Crossover schedule for this weekend at SW MN State in Marshall.

D3 RESULTS
The MIAC was 2-0 in games against the UMAC.
Augsburg lost the first game to Bethany Lutheran, but then won the next three in a 3-1 win over the NAIA school from Mankato.
Gustavus downed Northwestern, MN in three 18, 24, 16.

St. Mary's was 1-1 in the Viterbo Quad yesterday. They lost to UW Stevens Point 3-0 and beat Clarke 3-1.

UW Stout went five with St. Scholastica.

TOUGH GOPHER SCHEDULE
The U of MN Daily has an article on why the Gophers have a tough schedule and no cupcakes on the schedule. They head to #1 Nebraska this weekend for the Ameritas Players Challenge.

GAMES ON TV
The Big 10 now has a deal that will be putting many college events, including volleyball games on ESPN or ESPN2, or Fox Cable. another story from the U of MN Daily.

JUCO GAMES
MSCTC Fergus Falls, with a youthful squad, swept Anoka-Ramsey 18, 21, 20. FF is now 5-4 on the year. More in the Fergus Falls Daily Journal.

LATE TUESDAY RESULTS
Albert Lea beat Waseca in five, but game five was a 15-2 blow out. AL trailed 2-1. More in the Albert Lea Tribune.
Crookston reached their win total of a year ago with a 3-2 win over Thief River Falls. Crookston did have a 2-0 lead and won game five 15-13. More in the Crookston Times.
Parkers Prairie, runner up in the Little 8 last year, took out last year's champ Rothsay 3-1. from the Fergus Falls Daily Journal.

LAST WEEK RESULTS
Some weekly papers have more detailed information than the dailies. But with weeklies the information may not come out presto chango. So here are some results from last week.
Lanesboro won twice last week over Lyle-Pacelli and then LeRoy-Ostrander. From the Republican Leader.
Kingsland had two wins last week over Hayfield and Lewiston. More in the Spring Valley Tribune.
Mable-Canton only had one game last week and it went into the win column with a win over Glenville-Emmons. Their other game against Lyle-Pacelli was postponed due to the death of LP player Kellsey Hogan. From the News-Record.
